Location

"We have found the east end of London to be absolutely beautiful, very convenient for all the sights, and the staff are so kind and friendly."

Dave and Great Tillett, South Africa

We are located in historic central east London on Mile End Road (A11). The capital's centre is just two miles away. Major tourist attractions such as Oxford Circus, the London Eye and the Tower of London can be reached in less than 20 minutes by public transport. We are also ideally placed to enable you to explore beyond the city too.

Underground
The College is situated between two underground stations. It is just a few minutes walk from Mile End station (Central, District and Hammersmith and City lines) and Stepney Green station (District and Hammersmith and City lines). Both stations provide excellent connections to London's key tourist sites.

Mile End to Liverpool St. station: 5 min
Mile End to Oxford Circus station: 16 min
Stepney Green to Tower Hill (for Tower of London) 9 min
Stepney Green to Westminster (Houses of Parliament and London Eye) 20 min

Docklands Light Railway (DLR)
The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) links Lewisham in the south with Stratford in the east, Bank in the City and London City Airport. The nearest stations to the College are Bow Church and Limehouse, both within one mile (1.5km). Trains run to historic Greenwich home of the tea clipper Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum and the Royal Observatory.

Buses
There are several bus routes serving different areas of London all within five minutes walk of the College. There are also two night buses that stop at Mile End allowing you to enjoy London's nightlife without the cost of an expensive taxi ride back to the College. Timetables are listed at the bus stops, alternatively you can check bus times on line at journey planner [opens in new window]

Airports
Stansted is 46 min from Liverpool St Station (Metropolitan, Circle and Hammersmith and City lines)
Heathrow is 15 min from Paddington station (Circle line)
Gatwick is 30 min from Victoria station (District or Circle lines)
London City is 20 min via DLR (Limehouse or Bow Church stations)

Road
Located on the A11, Queen Mary is less than 5 miles (8km) from world famous tourist attractions such as Trafalgar Square and Oxford Circus. The College is only 8 miles (12km) from the M11 motorway which makes it the perfect base for day trips out of London, being only one hour drive from attractions such as Cambridge and Leeds Castle in Kent.
